[Photoshop] Abstract Wave Effect

[Pacman]

Tutorial wrote by Pacman from Chocobo Heaven and Pure Graphics.

Before creating a new image press "D" to reset colors and then press "X" to change the foreground with the background... make sure you have your background in Black and Foreground in white

1-File > New (Ctrl + N), with 500*500, with background color...
Your background must be black...

2-Filter > Render > Lens Flare

Brightness 125%
Lens Type: 50-300mm Zoom
OK

Repeat the 2nd step till you have a thing like this:


3-Filter > Sketch > Chrome

Detail 9
Smoothness 4
OK

Add color to your image...

4-Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (Ctrl + U)

The Colorize option must be activated

Hue 200
Saturation 60
Lightness 0
OK

5-Layer >Duplicate Layer

In the duplicate layer,put the blending to Overlay

6-Layer > Merge Down (Ctrl + E)

7)Layer > Duplicate Layer

In duplicate layer

Add

8-Filter > Distort > Wave
Make Randomize until you like the effect

Put the blending mode to Multiply

9-Layer > Duplicate Layer
Set the blending mode to Lighten

10-Edit > Transform > Horizontal Flip

And you have your Wavy Effect...
