What is BBCode?
BBCode is a replacement for html in PHP forums. This code originated because forums started being spammed by viruses because of html codes. Since html codes could do anything (redirecting, downloading, special effects), developers had to think of solution where a code with limited "powers" should be introduced to the forums so that html will be stopped. And so they did.

BBCode is very similar to HTML, the only difference is that they are more limited to functions, they use [] instead of <> and they can only be used in BBCode enabled websites.

How to use the code:
Just like HTML -> [ code] {this to open} [ /code] {this to close}

Lets look at the codes:
[ img]{URL to image here}[ /img] -> Shows an image.
[ img="http://yourdomain.com/yourimage.xxx"]{description}[ /img] -> Shows an image with description.

[ quote]{your quote}[ /quote] -> Shows a quote

[ URL]{address}[ /URL] -> Puts a link
[ URL="http://xxx.xxx"]{description}[ /URL] -> Puts a link with a description

[ b]{text}[ /b] -> bold
[ i]{text}[ /i] -> italics
[ u]{text}[ /u] -> underline


Note that you can put a BBCode into another
[ b][ i]{bold and italics}[ /i][ /b]
