How to make and use Patterns, here's what i'm gonna explain to you in this tutorial...
Difficulty: 1/10 I make it as simple as i can and i use many images, so anyone can do it... Create a new transparent document? With these settings: ![]() You should have something like this: ![]() Maximize the small window, ![]() and put these values: ![]() If you dont find this panel go to: (Windows > Navigation) ![]() Then select your rectangular marquee tool ![]() And do this: ![]() Then right click on your mouse and select Fill? Put these settings? ![]() Press OK? And you?re done with your Pattern? You can make as many patterns as you want... Now how do we save it as a pattern?? Do to Edit > Define Pattern? And then name it, what you want... Now how do we add a pattern?? When you?ve done with a signature, wallpaper, or when you open an image and want to add a pattern, follow theses steps... I used this image: ![]() Add a layer: Layer > New > Layer? Name it pattern. Then select the rectangular marquee tool: ![]() Press Ctrl + A on your pattern layer Your image should be selected? ![]() Right click on your mouse and do Fill? Use these settings: ![]() Your pattern should be in the small arrow... Press OK And you should have something like this: ![]() Then change your blending mode to soft light with 75% of opacity and then you should have a soften image, like this: ![]() You can try as many combinations you want, to make your pattern, be creative? With the same process you can do this: ![]() To have this: ![]() Note: already blended to soft light and opacity to 75%... Enjoy
