Star Ocean: The Second Story

After a couple of weeks here, I've been wondering...why is there no SO2 thread? I'm starting to wonder if anyone played it. Not that it would be an easy find (or a cheap buy) at this point without an emulator...but still.

Ahaha, I see. I played Tales too, but I stopped because it felt waaay too much like SO2...strangely enough. Or maybe it was like some other RPG. I don't remember anymore. ;

Tales is very much like Star Ocean. Hell, Tales of Phantasia was actually made by a good number of programmers that actually worked on the original Star Ocean, but left after some sort of disagreement. It's no surprise that SO2 and some of the older Tales games seem so alike.

You should, it's a great game series. It's just too bad that it's incredibly obscure her in the US. On the other hand, it's incredibly popular in Japan, even going as far as to remake the "FFVII of Tales Games", Tales of Destiny...twice.

I sadly only 3 Tales games, but I intend to get Eternia and/or Destiny (PSX) sometime in the future...after getting Persona 4 and Final Fantasy IV DS.

I never said that I wasn't going to find one, but again, P4 and FFIV DS take priority first.
