~Perfect Game Log~

Decided to start up a perfect game attempt after leaving the file be for about a year now

It'll likely be the last in-depth dive I'll take into the game; Star Ocean 4 awaits in the near future

Doubt it's gonna be one of those PERFECT Perfect games---not gunna waste too much time on the pointless of the pointless completionist goals.

Current Status

Time- 97 hrs. 30 min.

FOL- ~4,000,000

Save Location- Mining Town of Kirlsa, Inn

Story Progression- Need to head to Arias and meet Clair

Characters- Fayt (Level 60), Nel (Level 70), Cliff (Level 31)

Equipment- Airglyph Weapons & Armor

Current Goal(s)

Collect 20 each of Jewel of Avarice, Jewel of Alertness, Mist Charm, Water Charm, Wind Charm, Smithery Materials, Writing Materials, Alchemy Materials, Fire Crystal from randoms available.

*sigh* Hope the Increased Chance for Item bonus works some magic here.

Did you get all that FOL from grinding or did you buy the Pomello Juice? o_o

Galaxy. And I'm sure an average World of Warcraft player spends much much more time training :P

Most of the spent time didn't come from beating up monsters, though, it was the leveling of skills. Getting Stun to Lv10 for one character took around 4-5 hours, maxing Healing takes about 3, Ice Needles needed 2, the average Battle Skill needed around 2 as well. First Aid required an all-nighter (not really, but it can be auto-leveled so it was on during sleep time).

Wish elemental weapons or Cheap Cider to intoxicate them existed at this point =/

Lol, I gave up getting 20 of all of them. The drop rate is really crappy even with the bonus. 6 Mist Charms, 3 Wind/Water Charms, and pretty much abandoned the Writing Materials. What the heck can you even Specify Plan with those?

Grinding, sadly. 100 hours clocked and the Pomello Juice in my inventory still isn't worth crap. >_<

lol, I suppose it would require No Damage, therefore this is no longer perfect ;p

The point of doing it is to have one big file where most anything can be experimented with off-hand. There are a few things I want to do with it that might help others, too.

Intoxicate? You can really get your guys drunk in the game?! Does it boost their strength but decrease their accuracy or something?

Intoxicate? You can really get your guys drunk in the game?! Does it boost their strength but decrease their accuracy or something?

Again, sadly no. But I'm pretty sure Cheap Cider was some kind of cheap alcohol in the Japanese version, which can be refined to have a host of negative status factors that don't really do anything if consumed ("Gives a life-threatening feeling", "Will likely cause a breakdown", "Will likely make the drinker lose his mind")---though I sometimes wish they would affect the drinker.

Synthed to a weapon, they all become 1/2 Attack, which can reduce a person's ATK to 0 and make Battle Skills very easy to auto-level as the enemies can't get killed.

What about Freya's level up quotes? o_o

Freya can't level up >_> <_< That's the last thing I'd want her to do. Her 20 million HP is high enough.

Personal enjoyment too, but the only one who needs to worry about that is me =D

It's not exactly a logical enjoyment that most understand.
