I was about to suggest Electric Fists, but I think the last attack packs a real punch to it, and it'll probably knock Freya away from the Aura Wall...

Sphere of Might doesn't sound too bad, but doesn't it lack a little in power?

Another question...Is there any way to reduce the Fury cost on abilities?

a) Yeah it's not the most powerful of skills out there that's for sure but if Mirage has a decently built up Critical Hit HP to enhance it and max ATK it should do decent enough

b) I haven't really experienced much with Electric Fists so I can't help there =-(

Yes - Rings of Amnosity - fully refined give a character -3 fury use to their skills - and Berserk of course.

Well it stacks out at -4 fury so the ideal combo is fully refined Ring of Amnosity on the weapon + the Victory Trophy accessory.

With Berserk + max minus fury factors after the start up Peppita's Dream Hammer only costs 1 Fury per additional swing. I assume it's the same for Albel's Double Slash of Fury as well

Same problem with aerial acrobatics (or whatever that one was) and max shockwave. Fists of fury is probably your best bet.

Yeah, but it's really helpful in juggling. Especially if you can set it up like I did with Cliff and Fayt with air raid + sphere of might.
You could probably do something similar with aura wall + sphere of might.

Yay! I used that combo without even knowing it! Even have a berserk in there.

I'll keep that in mind when I get back on it.....maybe we can try some kind of combo with one of Sophia's moves besides thunder flare.

Hrmm ... yeah ... some of her attacks do tend to go all over the place. Though Scatter Beam is Godly with the right set up she has to be very close range on some enemies otherwise a lot of the hits will miss =/ I remember trying L/R Scatter Beam on Maria against Freya and she'd sometimes only get two to four hits

I usually prefer controlling Peppita though since Fayt's AI is one of the better ones in the game (once you disable his spells in the menu) and I know I can count on him to be some what reliable most of the time.

If I'm controlling Fayt Peppita will have a Support! Peppy set up with Power Dance - L4+ Healing Dance or post game Power Dance/Panic Dance > Magical Dance and Common Support Symbols for Healing.

That's for general play though - I'm really looking forward to trying out the Fayt w/th blade enhancements + Peppita w/th Charge set up shown in those videos. I have a 4-D Fayt/Maria/Peppita file going (second time keeping Maria in a team lol) so I have lots to try out.

One of my friends who put Peppita at the bottom of the pile actually values her quite highly now that he's seen how well she works with one of his favourite characters (Albel)

Plus stunlocking isn't the only thing that can help - Fayt's knockdown and juggling capabilities with Air Raid are nothing to sneeze at and they can help people that are having trouble with Peppy too.

I'm on a mission to convince my friend that Fayt is actually quite awesme too now He's as stubborn as hell though. Took me ages and pages of mass debates spread over at least a couple of years to get him to see Peppita was worth something

I knew because I've seen him post about how cheap/broken Maria is in other threads here - also there is a Gondor at Youtube I think is the same person?

A lot of people elsewhere swear by Explosion ... but I don't like to use it because then I can't see what I'm doing

My most fun time with Sophia was giving her Increase MP damage, max attack decisions and elemental ball factors for her Long O ... Fayt had the same thing with Divine Blade and Peppita had her counter attacks. Both Sophia and Peppita's short Os also worked well only with Increase HP damage instead of Increase MP damage.

I like to do things differently than from the norm ... I'm weird I know

Yeah. I'd rather have Fayt where I'm in full control of his attacks, where they go, and how often they hit (yay air raid!).

Not me. I always had a problem with him using spells even when I disabled most of them.

I almost never use Peppita. Again, she gets on my nerves too much. I tried her just to get 30-50 level ups in one battle post-game in Sphere 211 after I got my main team to level 255.
Other than that, she's at the bottom of my pile. I'm more likely to use Adray to replace Sophia in my next file, but no changes for anyone else. Gonna control Fayt and Cliff is just there to be the meat shield.

I'm still not gonna use her. Gondor used her in the final area before he went against Luther (and during the battle with Luther) and I still don't like her. She just heals and occasionally buffs, which I could use Maria if I needed that.

Though, I can't really use Albel myself. His attacks go way out of sync with what I'm used to. Now, if it was Gondor and I (his Albel and my Fayt) then we could seriously pwn.

Yup. My account is there too, and we're friends on there too. My videos are mainly DW4 (Digimon World 4) and a small majority of his is SO3. One of which, he's fighting against his sooties for a little entertainment.
He does that sometimes.....being The Sootie King and all.

Me either. That's why I never put it on Sophia's shortcuts and always disable it for Fayt (or whoever else has it, can't remember).

Peppita's healing + buffs >>> Maria's. Don't go thinking they don't even if you don't want to use her

Power Dance is double then triple ATK/Damage output and is multi target as are her healing, mana restoring and chaos dances. Maria's are only a 50% boost and don't last as long.

Also her dances have inbuilt invincibility periods and she's a better item user than Maria to boot :P

Plus Maria runs slow :P

Your next best bet for a support character is Adray so I'm glad you're considering using him. Though like Maria and Sophia his supports aren't as potent as Peppita's he's a faster caster than Sophia and by adding the skill Quick Symbol and the equipment factor half casting time to that he's definitely the best at casting spells from the menu I think Besides Maria has her damage (<_<) and Sophia has stunlocking. What else does Adray have :P

I always turn *all* of Fayt's spells off o_o - Though sometimes I forget

My first solo was a Sophia one. I ended up using physical attacks more than anything else ... that's how I came to find her physicals could be a lot of fun and quite damaging too

I've also done solo Peppitas (a few ), solo Nel (disc one) and a Maria NADNSBNEBNRB challenge

Another person I know found Peppita annoying too (her voice) so when he did a solo Peppita he turned off battle voices So now he gives her credit where credit is due for fighting capability but keeps her voice turned off

How about Mirage ... or Roger ... or Nel ... have you never considered using those? ;p

Well I'm off back to playing my new game now (Valkyrie Profile II) and also on Star Ocean - where I'm nearly finished disc one on another 4-D file. Going to solo Crosell with Nel.
