Funny thing about all of this is that, before KH came out, someone told me:

Squaresoft is doing great now, but they're going to plummet.

So I told him, "how is that even possible? They're the most powerful gaming company in the world!"

Sadly, he was right.
I miss the good old days of Squaresoft!

When I was younger, I bought only games where one word was on the box... Squaresoft... why? because I always loved Squaresoft games, mainly for the graphics, the image quality they where giving to the gamer. Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VIII... OMG! I know that now if you play those games, you'd say eeeewwwww, horrible colors!! But back then, they were the best of their kind. as now Final Fantasy XII kiss ANY game in graphical way... There is no game, (at least that I know) with better graphic quality than that game for the PS2... Square Enix has the graphics right... so... Is that so hard to make a really nice story??? Like FF7??? camon SE!!! maybe we should send them this post, so they ask us tips...!!!

well that all depends! what about when ff comes out on the ps3 the graphics will be like the movies on ff games at the moment but i think they will work so hard on making the graphics that they will forget about the storyline and it will just be rushed at the end of it all

Exactly.
Maybe we should send them this thread (seriously) and have them ask some of the SS people for help with the storyline and stuff. Learn a few things from them and then they can produce quality games.
If they can combine their flashyness with the quality stories of SS, then they could be a new leading world power. At least, in gaming.

Yeah... thinking about it... they sure want to make battles look like full motion videos, and very active time battle... but... with all that concerns, maybe their are forgetting that we want a good story within those graphics...

FFXII had a pretty good storyline....but the voice acting was crap....it seems like if they can get one thing right, they get another thing wrong!

Yup. Improve the graphics, then the storyline goes to hell. They really do need the help of the Squaresoft staff.

yeah they sure do but then again if they make the storyline better i think that then the gameplay will just die out all together i mean all we have to do is look at x-2 to see how bad they have got

Very good point. Maybe they'll (or at least can) do another joint venture to improve everything. SE handles the graphics, and the other company(s) can work on everything else.
