I started playing my old yellow version since my comp was disconnected to work on my room, and I found it while I was cleaning, and realized just how much better RBY is compared to the others.
It's not overly complicated and it doesn't depend on random encounters of NPC and dumb luck to progress the storyline.

The only "rare" Pokemon I have in Diamond at the moment is Drifblim.

I remember all the classic rares. Kangaskahn, Pinser, Chancey, and all the others that were hard as feck to find, even in the safari zone.
Come to think of it......I GET TO GO BACK IN THERE! YAY YELLOW VERSION!!

And fyi: I started out with a Turtwig, the only decent starter of the 3 (between a flaming monkey and a 'tarded penguin, it's not that hard to choose, plus Grass starters = love...except for Chikorita, replace it with Cindaquil! X3).
