Repeation of what past teachers have said. ;

Though, even on RO there's a small group of people that will sit there and talk in broken sentences* in another language (someone said Portugese), and it bugs the crap outta me that they talk like that, ontop of the fact that I can't even understand what they're saying, and it interrupts my conversation with the people I'm talking to. It just bugs me is all.
Though, to go to college here, you HAVE to have two years of forgein language. So it's almost forced here.

*Example:

They're
Not worth

That's the thing. Just last year or year before that, the German teacher got laid-off. The ONLY languages we have left over here are Spanish and French. French being the less popular, even among the teachers.

Yup. Everyone hate the French. Even the French teachers.
In fact, my Spanish teacher (that taught French), said that the ONLY time she's ever seen French used in the US was in that classroom. The only other French used in Louisiana was Cajun French (yes, there's a difference, and no, I have no idea why), which is only similar.
