It's not. The only difference between the anime and manga is that the ending is different.
**Spoilers** And even then, it's almost not worth suffering through N and M just to see/ The only reason I read to the end was that I kept thinking, "ok, they'll redeem themselves and do something intelligent.....it'll be alright.....SOMETHING unstupid will happen.....  "

Well what happened was last year my closest male friend sent me a e-card for Valentine's Day but it got lost and I never got it. He showed me the message he'd put on it though. It was cute. This year I thought maybe I'd get to see a cute e-card but it seems this time he never sent one at all ...

It's not being stupid. If it was me saying it, then yes.
