Final Fantasy III DS - 17/20 (global rating)
Storyline - 4/20 Sound - 15/20 Gameplay - 20/20 Value - 18/20 Graphics - 18/20 Final Fantasy III DS begins with an earthquake that rattles the entire floating continent, with this darkness seeps out into the world and Luneth finds himself in a much deeper hole than he imagined (quite litterally if you've seen the opening sequence), as Luneth and his best friend Arc venture out into the unknown the story of Final Fantasy III DS begins. Final Fantasy III DS is a remake of the original Final Fantasy III for the SNES, however this time they have added a few more extras including a new starting job class called Freelancer. As you progress in the game Job Classes become a major part of the somewhat weak storyline of Final Fantasy III. As you continue you get blessed by the crystals light and gain new job classes. Final Fantasy III introduced job's to the series, which was later built upon in FFIV and later Final Fantasy Tactics, it's very primitive giving your character some stat boosts, different weapon choices and a special ability - but mastering those jobs is fun none the less. The storyline could be a lot better but it is overshadowed by the incredible gameplay, like the original Final Fantasy's it is a turn based RPG, but the characters are much more customizable. You can change their job, and what weapons they have too! You can even equip two swords at once to unleash some devestating combinations on those foes. I've hit up to 14 times in a combo so far, and it's excellent! The battle system alone makes this game worth coming back to, it utilizes the DS' touchscreen perfectly allowing you to tap the enemy and chose what commands you want to use using the stylus. So you'll find yourself spending hours levelling your characters and not getting bored! But you can also use the stylus on the world map to move your characters by sliding it along the screen. WiFi was a big let down in FFIIIDS, all you could use it for was sending mail to unlock the secret job class, Onion Knight. Which I haven't yet got, so if anyone wants to send me some mail ask me for my friend code! The graphics are pretty good for a Nintendo DS, some of the best I've seen so I'd deffinately say they rock. Proportions on characters are slightly wrong but compare it to FFVII and you can't really complain! The musics not bad either, some of the tunes are really catchy and the classic battle theme and victory theme are back! ![]() All in all I'd say this is an awesome game and you'd be mad to not get it if you own a DS. And if you don't own a DS it's not too late to get one for Christmas. Anyway it's 3am in the morning nearly, so I'm going to bed now. Goodnight, and I hope you found that review helpful!

Exactly. The better your reputation, the more respect you get from other members and the more power you gain in the forums.
