SCIII Is Not Just A Fighting Game... It Has TONS Of Options And Things To Do And Play.
First You Have Tales Of The Souls (The Option That In Other Games Is Called Story Mode). Basically, In This Mode You Just Complete Every Character's Story, But There Are LOTS Of Differences With The Other Fighting Games, During The Story Mode You Can Unlock TONS Of Things, You Can Recieve Gold, You Can Unlock Characters, Arenas, Movies, Items,Etc. And There Is Another Difference, You Choose What To Do, If Investigate Or Hurry Up And Chase X Man, And It Changes With Every Character You Choose.
Second, You Have Chronicles Of The Sword, Which Is An Amazing Option, Which In You Create Your OWN CHARACTER, With Its Own Clothes, I Will Explain This First

Yep, You Saw It Right, In Character Creation, You Have More Than 300 Clothes And Different Things Which You Can Dress Up Your Character With...First You Chose The Sex, After That, You Chose The Job. You Have: Barbarian, Thief, Dancer, Monk And Mage, And Then You Can Unlock Lots More Like Ninja, Samurai, Knight, Assasin, Pirat, Gladiator And Sword Master, Which Is Able To Wield ANY Weapon...After Choosing The Job, You Dress Up Your Character With DIfferent Types Of Clothes, That Change For Every The Two Sexes...You Can Change The Hair Style Between 20 Styles(Or More XD), You Can Put Whichever Hat You Want (EVEN Cat Ears XD), Clothes, Armors, Footing, Shins, Make Up,Capes, And LOTS Of Things, And After That, You Can Colour Them With The Colour You Want...You Can Also Put Any Colour Of Hair, Lips, Eyes, Skin And Underwear, And You Can Choose Between 15 Models Of 3D Faces And 4 Voices, And, Finnaly, The Name.Anyways, The Armour Does Not Just Come Free, With The Gold You Get, You Buy New Modes, Boosts, Bonus, Movies, Armors, And Weapons...There's A GREAT Variety, And, After Certain Quantities Of Fights, You Can Even Make Up KOS-MOS!

You Can Also Create A Lot Of Characters



I'll Get Back To Chronicles Of The Sword. You Are The Leader Of A Troup, Part Of A Country's Military Called Grandall, And This Mode Is Like Age Of Mythology Like, You Can Choose Up To 4, 5 Or 6 Characters(Depending On The Mission) And You Have To Take The Enemy's Strongholds, You Can Fight Them In The Fighting Mode, Or Just Watch Them Hit Each Other With Spears, Swords, Etc. It's Very Difficult, And You MUST Create A Startegy, Cause, After The First 10 Chronicles, Things Get REAL Dirty, And You Can Loose In 2 Seconds...Through This Mode, You'll Unlock LOTS Of Things, And Weapons Too, You'll Develop Your Characters Like In A RPG(They'll Level Up, They'll Rise Their Strength, Citality, HP And Agility), And You'll Be Able To Buy New Weapons, Which Each Of Them Have DIFFERENT Effects(Like Drain HP, Cure Hp, Break Enemie's Guard, Throw More Far The Enemy, Etc) I Want To Say, That, Each Standard Character Has It's Own Type Of Weapon, Like Tira Has An Edge Ring:

Or Setsuka Has Her Own Type Of Samurai Sword, Zasalamel Wields A Scythe, And Each Job Uses Different Weapons (Dancer Uses Tambourines And Fans). If I'd Have To Define This Mode, I'll Say That's A Mixture Of Yu-Gi-Oh Duelist Of Roses And Final Fantasy Tactics, And Tekken XD.
Then You Have Worl Tournaments, And Leagues, Which, Basically You Compete Till You Die XD
After That, You Have The Soul Arena, Where Is The Typicall Standard Fight Mode And The Mission Mode, Which, In Every Mission, You Have To Follow Certain Tips To Win.Then You Have The Museum Mode, Where You Watch Movies, And You Can See The Character's Profiles, AND You Can Also Choose The Battle Theater, Which You Choose 2 Characters And Watch Them Fight.
The Graphics Are 3D Made, VERY Dinamic And Without Glitches, Errors Or Bugs .
The Sound Is VERY Exquisite, And You Have More Than 25 Songs, That REALLY Match With Each Arena
Finally, Every Character Has Its Own Story, But Everyone Match In Sth, They Are Investigating, Trying To Destroy, To Get, Or To Free The Malice Sword, Soul Edge, Which Transforms Its Wielder In A Monster, Who Kills Feriously And Doesn't Stop, And Also Soul Calibur, Which Is The Holy Sword That Has Chances To Match Soul Edge...
I Wanted To Say, That This Game AIN'T Any Common Fighting Game, And It's REALLY Worht It
