Before I begin, I'd like to state that this game is so damn hard at times, and I was playing it on Difficult, this is why you've rarely seen me around lately. But, I finally beat it!


On to the review;



The game starts you off in what is apparently a dream, as you'll be pinned down by the Germans, and you're entire squad will be wiped out by the incoming tank. After which you'll find yourself in an aircraft, about to be dropped off, when you come under attack, and are separated from your squad, for the time being. After walking around a bit, and learning a bit of the controls, you'll meet up with one of your members, who will then follow you around and do as you command (Keep in mind here you aren't allowed to command anyone until about the second mission)

This is not your typical WWII shooter, I guarantee if you do not like sitting back and firing endlessly, gun sway, inability to solo anything, constantly having to flank, you will break your controller by the third mission, or your keyboard, whatever you play on. Throughout the game, as I've said oh so many times before, by the third mission you'll be in control of more than just one guy, at least, I'm sure it was the third, may have been the fourth. After you gain control of them, you must move them around, either having them follow you, provide suppressing fire, assault then enemy(Stupid move, don't even use it unless the enemy is outnumbered greatly, even says so in the beginning) If at any time they die, they not gone forever, when the next mission comes around, they'll all be alive again, but if they all die and you are still alive, you may as well frag yourself, you won't survive very long without your team. If you do make decide to run and attempt to do it yourself, and live long enough to reach a checkpoint, if you die around three times, the game will offer to heal your squad because "War sometimes isn't fair, but video games should be", that'll revive all of your members and heal you as well. Before I forget, health doesn't mean much when you can only take about three hits.



Over all I really enjoyed this game, despite the super headache I got on a couple missions. If you are a fan of realism, you will probably love this game and it's sequel, which I've not yet played, and won't for awhile (at least a week, then I'll review it too)
