Is Selphie really that important....?
I have to say, I'm not Selphie's biggest fan... actually I'm not a fan at all.
 I just don't think she's that important in the Kingdom Hearts series. You can level up better at the start of the game with Tidus, Wakka and Riku. Personally I think she's just there for the fun of it. Either that or Square-Enix didn't want to be sexist.

That doesn;t really answer the question though.... she doesn't really have a purpose in Kingdom Hearts

Yeah, that's what I thought considering that there's only two girls on Destiny Island that they show: Kairi and Selphie.

Possibly. Though, I figure she was the girl that you pwn until you can figure out the strategies for Tidus and Wakka. She was the only one I could beat right off. lol.
