Debate?

It has come up that some of our members want a debate forum. Since this is technically democracy (and just because we can), we'll vote on it.

I vote no because I think it would cause too much conflict in the forums. Not all members can restrain themselves and could mix their opinions with unkind words.

I vote yes. I agree with Rini, too, we have pleanty of mods to deal with the out right vicious members of the debate forum should there be one.

You could just put strict rules, or assign a speacil mod to that section. I vote yes.

Indeed. There's no need for any more staff though, so current staff could just check on the section every so often, and people could make use of the "Report Post" function when someone gets out of line, that's what it's there for after all.

True, but I have yet to see anyone use the report post button.
