Character Battle Forum

Would you guys ever consider adding a battle sub forum for me? If you dont know what that is it would work like this. We would hold nominations of video game characters then i sort them out evenly and randomly and make battles. Then people vote on who would win. Kinda like www.gamefaqs.com character battles work. If this was considered i would be more than happy to attend to it and take care of everything. I wont leave my work to others.

It is just that we pick two games and have people vote on them to see which one wins?

No no each member of the forum gets to nominate 2 video game characters from any game ever. so say 10 people participate theres 20 characters and they are randomly paired together and then anyone who wants to can vote. Most votes win and character moves on. Its no big deal if this isnt made i just think its a neat idea that some forums do. Might bring some people back or attract more. We could have a Anime battle to.

Well, I understand what you mean, but you could make a thread for such things, I'm sure the thread would be ok in General Talk. If you want to add it there that is fine. I really don't see the need in a sub forum for something that can be made into a thread. But just to make sure I understand you, you mean something like (e.g "Solid Snake vs Sam Fisher"), then people vote for which they like the most, and say Solid Snake wins, then there is another character, say Dante, Dante vs Snake, then Dante wins and progresses to another battle, and so on? How close am I to actually understanding what you mean?

You are dead on, but the forums i visit that also do this make each battle a thread then when the whole thing is over (in a course of a few weeks or a month) delete them all and have another one. Also the nominations would be a thread by its self. If this is denied (because its looking fairly strong ) and i do make just a thread for it can you guys keep people out of it (spam)? I mean that would get REALLY long in one thread the voting then all the small talk and garbage. Plus i was going to use the Poll option for the voting to make it so much easier.

Well, I never said I didn't support you, nor did Yoh, I just didn't see a point in a sub forum for that, though I never considered making an extra thread per battle, and all the other stuff to be factored in there.

See what Pacman has to say on it though, because in the end, the decision is his.

Alright thats fair enough. I didnt mean for it to seem like i jumped at ya there. I just wanted to explain myself quite well ..lol . I mean its really no big deal, but i atleast wanted it looked at and thrown out there. Ive been shot down for ideas on many forums so its cool. Maybe Pacman will see it soon. When i said id take care of everything i didnt mean for that to sound as if i was asking to be a mod or on staff. I simply meant ill get everything together and stuff on my computer.

I know exactly what you mean! I use to get on gamefaqs and voted for some battles there... I'm thinking in how we could do this. A sub forum wouldn't get to much attention. A forum would be more appropriate. Also, If the battle is Cloud Strife vs Solid Snake, there are a lot of lovers for those characters, so I bet there will be a lot of discussion about it. What's the forum you were talking about?

I could also set your moderator for that forum only.

We could probably put it in general and that would look fine since the characters are from games and anime at the same time.
