Overrated games

What are some games you KNOW are just blown waaaaay wwaaaaaayyyyy out of proportion?

Halo series
Quite a bit of Final fantasy (sephiroth or cloud anyone?)
World of Warcraft....just omg no..
Mario is getting on up there as well
Devil May Cry

Your thoughts..?

Definately FFVII. I mean, it's a great game and all, but it's among the top 20 greatest games of all time.

Final Fantasy VII is by far one of the most hyped up games of all time. It's good...but not as good as people like to make it out to be. Sephiroth isn't even that great.

HALO is also overrated. It was nowhere near as great as everyone was saying it was. I was very disappointed with it.

Come on! The game wasn't that great, and people give it something like a 9!

Devil May Cry 2, expecially bad because other then the battle system, it was total load.
FFVII-We all know why this is true-but I think for its time it was good, but legend of dragoon was better,
FFX-The ending was kinda non-sensical if you take into account how X-2 lack so much in the luster deparment,
FFXII-good, not amazing in anyway,
FFXIII-not even out yet and already believe with all the different versions it wont be as good as the hype is or was really.

Yeah, the ending was a bit eh of FFX. Though, X-2 was just a blatent insult to the FF series. I wouldn't play that game again even if you paid me.

Well I dont know, X-2 sucked for so many reasons. I just think FFXIII will be talked about and run into the ground. Its that quantity over quality thing all over again.

Sorry I think FFVII was awsome, I mean it did pretty much start up my love for the FF games amd in its time it was a good hit on the game list.

Halo yea that was over rated for sure. I just like fighting other people.
