If you got a spikey ball swirling at you like the end of a flail, you can't really stop it since there's no chain to catch on your blade. Ontop of that he can roll at least 50 mph, maybe even 100. Good luck stopping that.

Oh no no my friend. Im not talking about the spike traps. He stops when you hit any enemy in the old games and even in the new ones. I have the 360 one and im pretty sure getting hit stops you then you have to regain your speed.

Link is way better than Sonic in my opinion.
I grew up playing the classic Zelda games (except for the 1st 2).

I played Zelda too, you know.
 If he's just plain running, then yeah, but if he's in his rolling spike ball form, he can only be stopped by either a wall or a spike trap in which he only has to change direction for either one. Though, I'm talking about the original Sonic in the original 2D game.
