It's the secret plot I was talking about. My PS2 was working just fine and suddenly started getting worse as the due date for the PS3 was getting closer. Then, shortly after it was released, it wouldn't work anymore.

So I went and got another from a pawn shop, and it only lasted two days until it had the same problem. Then yet another one tht some idiot designed and it ended up that we had to take it apart EVERY time we wanted to make it try and read a disk, so tht broke pretty fast since the power button cord was grafted onto the top piece and came disconnected EVERY time we took it apart and eventually it just broke. (Yes Gondor, that was the vree-vree-vree one.)

Then I finally got this one, which lasted me one month, which is just enough time that I can't return it for my money back.

After four times, there's no chance it's ALL coincidence.

Maybe it's because he keeps his PS2 on constantly. I've had mine for about 4-5 years and it has JUST stopped reading PSX discs (disc read error!), but it can read any PS2 disc just fine.

I only keep mine on for powerleveling in DW4, but I don't really do that anymore.

Usually only time I leave it on all night is when I pass out while playing.

It's always wise to turn the PS2 off when you're not around, lest you know you'll be back within an hour or so and you're powerleveling.

I know. Though, with my gaming, I'm usually only asleep for about an hour and then I'm either playing again or waking up for school.
