Silent Hill 1

The first Silent Hill. My 2nd favorite SH game ever, and my 6th* favorite game of all time. It was the beginning of it all. The horrible monsters, the unimaginable nightmares...it all began there!

What do you people think about it? What do you have to share about your original SH experiences in general?

Wow, it seems there's not a bunch of Silent Hill fans in this forum ._.
Sorry for the gravedigging =P but someone's got to give life to the SH forum, and besides, I'm relatively new and it's my first time I see this section =P

The first Silent Hill is my favorite of all the SHs, probably because it's the only one I've beaten, I was planning to play the others, but then I bought a lot of RPGs, and the SHs sank into oblivion
But I really enjoyed the story of the original SH. Someone spoiled the ENTIRE story in SH2 for me, so I know it's pretty neat too, but I'll know for sure when I play it. Still, I like better the SH1 characters, especially Lisa, I felt so sorry for her ;_;

I still remember when you play SH1 and you suddenly hear those awful sounds and everything changes, it gave me goosebumps all over me, for a game to give those chills to me, I gotta love it

I was creeped out when:

Lisa hemorrhaged to death, and I still can't kill Cybil without being deeply disturbed by the FMV that follows after it.

This Silent Hill was great, though I absolutely LOVE SH2!

I hate the spasmodic movements of the SH2's creatures =P

And yeah, those scenes are quite disturbing, especially with the song they put for Lisa's

I think that added to it all.

Honestly, about the sporadic movements of the monsters in SH2, I though that just made them the ever more disturbing.

I think it's the best one Konami ever did, with SH2 being a close runner up. Graphics aren't bad, but they do let it down a bit compared to the sequels.

I don't like SH4 that much, as it's so bloody tedious. And SH3 has aged considerably more than 1 and 2 put together.

SH4 was AWFUL! I even wrote a review on it here on CH, just to drive a point home! I hate that game with almost all of my being (same applies to FF X-2, Jade Cocoon 2, and Medievil II)!

No. It's about Silent Hill 1 for the PSX released sometime in 1999-2000.

If I made a thread about Silent Hill 0rigins, I would promptly title it: Silent Hill 0rigins.

its like they get worse the more they make you have to play them back to front to apreciate them cause then it gets better then better 4 then 3 then 2 then 1
