Ultima Thingy

There have been alot of games with weapons named "Ultima" often done by squaresoft or square enix. For instance:

Ultima Blade
Ultima Weapon
Ultima Keyblade
Ultima (Spell)
Ultima Materia
Ultima Gun

What are your opinions on the Ultima weapons. The strongest weapons in the whole game. The elite from all of the lesser weapons. The sword that's always the hardest to get. The flashiest, strongest, most expensive, best items in the game. Do you like them? Do you hate them? Do you think they're getting old? Do you think they need more? Please post your opinions.

Agreed. They should find a new word to use. After using it for almost every FF game and almost every Square game, it gets really old.

Nah. They should get off their a**es and get more creative like they did with SO3. If they can make more games like that, then they'll actually be a decent gaming company again.

Yeah, ultima has been getting old. and i think that ultima is latin for something. like...ultimate?

They all have suffixes. and i think that traces back to latin or greek.

Omega would seem like a cool name for some weapons in the FF Universe.

After seeing Ultima in the GBA version of FFI and sounded like a good name, but I guess it gets rather boring after awhile.
