Help with stone of condemner

I don't think I got the stone of the condemner when I came out of the Stillshrine of Miriam. Later on in the game I went back to see if I could get it. but none of the people around the mountain offered it and the stairs into the stillshrine are blocked by kneeling acolytes. I keep being told none of the espers are missable so what am I doing wrong?:

Okay, I got the stone from the priest in front of the shrine. Now what? I can't get up to the door. There are people kneeling on the steps blocking my way. Do I need to wait until the story moves on a bit or is there another entrance?

I've just got the Treaty Blade from the Great Crystal. I want to get back into the stillshrine of Miriam on Mt Bur Omisace to get Zeromus but there are people on the steps. I haven't finished the hunts or got zodiark. Do I need to do either/both of these first?

Your looking in the wrong place you want to go to a teleport crystal and select the stillshrine of miriam from there. if you touch the teleport crystal the first time around. Hope that helps.

You don't do it in the temple in Bur OMisace, you go back to the stillshrine, and use the teleporting device there, the stone of the condemners reacts and you get teleported to where Zeromus is, Be well prepared.
