Well I know I am little late in this thread but I have played FFXI for long time and waited desperately for FFXII. What we got is exactly the same as the online game with no one to talk to you. I would say it was the same great story that we love from Square but its not Final Fantasy unless its turn based and 12 was not it. I know the way of the world is changing to these type of games but Final Fantasy made the rules why change now just for the mass.

I am playing Dirge this week to be ready for Crisis Core next week but again that was cool "experiment" now please Square get back to how we play the game.

I give FFXII from 1 to 10 a 7 for being like D&D with no dice to roll.

I don't think anyone would. I'd have to agree with your opinion at this point (though I give you points for comparing FFXII to D&D. XD).

Thats cool I just might sound negative on the game, but then I own chocobo stuff dolls and don't matter what it is longs as its Final Fantasy. Good or bad, I just hope that FFXIII does not go with the flow if FXII or we will have another thread to post.

I agree, the turn-based system is so sweet =) It was nice playing like this for a change, but I'd stick with turns.

And yeah lew, a lot of people I know who plays the game complains about the same thing, the lack of money at the beginning of the game =/ (ot the expensiveness of the items if you prefer it that way ) Although I do remember buying many things.. I'm confused now

Two important points that I don't like from the game:
1- You don't get to explore the entire world, just a part of it, you don't even get to know Al Cid's kingdom =/
2- I don't like selecting the airship's destination from a list, I like to actually fly in the heavens and see the world map beside me but well, I guess that was impossible with the graphics they pulled, at least for now
