Final Fantasy X-3 ?

Well, things haven't been going well in the FF world, many fans have hard critics on FF XII too.
Do you think the FF games are doomed already?

Honestly? Yes. I'm going to get either FFXIII or KH3, and if they aren't SS quality, they're going in the garbage.
Same is said of the company itself. If they don't start making some serious games, Tri-Ace and Bandai Namco are going to run them into the ground.

Is there even going to be a KH3? Isn't KH3 actually *Birth By Sleep*?And it is going to be for the psp only. DAMN THEM ALL! ENIX IS FAULT EVERYTHING!

There were many rumors about KH3, but then again, there's always silly rumors about games.
One of the rumors stated that the main characters were going to change, and the game was going to be like something about the keyblade wars, ehich sounded totally lame for me, and I hope they don't do that. Anyway, I'm getting too off topic.

About FF XIII, I don't really have much hope. SE seems like it's going all for the graphics, but cares too little about storyline, which is one of the strongest parts on a RPG. Like you were saying in some thread, they're making things so shiny, all to cover low quality ideas.

Yup. To quote Gondor and I exactly, "it was shiny s***".
I even managaged to grab an issue of GamerPro (magazine) and find an article about FFXIII. Apparently, the main character is a female and her name is Lightning, which was probably already known to everyone here.
They said that the game is going to take place in two worlds, one is Cocoon and the other is something else, and Lightning is trying to overthrow the eutopia of Cocoon. They said it's realtime gunblade battles, but FFXII was supposedly realtime, so I have my doubts about it being fully realtime.
GamerPro predicted basically the same thing as I said, that Enix is going to put a ton of money into graphics and not worry as much about the storyline. Though, they said there's still a lot of empty spots on information asto other characters, areas, sidequests, and other such things.

I would have gotten the manazine so I could put exactly what they said, but it was like $6 for something as thick as a PS1 game case.

Don't see the problem with enhanced graphics instead of playing a pixel block game. It helps putting real life to the screen, characters & environment, instead of big emotionless pixel blocks moving around.

True, but I'll use an example that one of our other members mentioned to me on an IM.

Someone sat and made a game about the Columbine shooting. The graphics are no better than Pokemon's on a Gameboy Color, yet when you're sitting there playing the game thinking "this actually happened".....you start feeling guilty...and you feel bad....you feel sorry for those people.....
This by itself, proves that you can make a very very moving game and provide a very moving message, with just the simplest of graphics.

I really think Enix should look at the game and see that. Until they get that message, they're just going to keep making interactive movies.
