Nobuo Uematsu has some of the great songs in Final Fantasy. He makes most of the songs in the series and they are just great.

Yeah, seriously. It's extremely hard to make moving music like his, much less be a director and have others bring out the pure emotion of the song. That's really hard to do, even for Mr. Miller.

Nobuo Uematsu has been composing FF music since the very first Final Fantasy.
If you play Final Fantasy I, you can find many tunes and things that were used again. I think the opening theme for Final Fantasy I was the Prelude, which is in many FFs.
Also, other things like chocobos (duh ) and Bahamut were also in FF I. =D
