I'm having FF7 troubles possible spoilers

On the part where you get the tiny bronco, and your supposed to get shot down (right?) it never happens. I've fought Palmer more than 12 times and usually I don't even get the scene where Cid jumps on. Usually it skips right to the part where Cid is on the tiny bronco with you and you can move around. Then that never ends, I left it on for about 2 hours to try to get it to go, too.

Have you talked with Cid on the Rocket? The two main scenes where you need to go is the rocket and Cid's house. After that you'll have some tea in his house, and you'll eventually have to go outside where is the tiny bronco. After the battle, it should be all sequential, and everything should directly go to the Cut-Scene and then you'll appear in the sea on the tiny bronco. After that you can "cheat" and go to the land of the ninja girl (I don't remember her name), and go there get better weapons and armor, and level up. But this is not the storyline you must chose to pursue the game.

I can't move on with the storyline very far without the tiny bronco.

lol. True enough.
Did you try talking to the characters on the ship to see what they say? It might just retrigger the game to find its place again if you can talk to something that would normally be a trigger conversation.

That's another probelm, it won't let me talk to them. I go over to them and press O and nothing happens.
