Whats the deal?

Whats the big deal about 7? what makes it so much better than the others? Idon't see it some one please say why it's so gold, because the others are alot more fun.

I simply enjoyed VII more than any of the other games from the series.

VII was a smash-hit for Final Fantasy. The way things were done in that game compared to the others were completely more enjoyable to me than VIII, IX, X, X-2, or even XII. To me, VII was completely better than any of the other games.

VII - Instant classic. The setup of everything in this game was just beautiful from the graphics [ even of that time ] to the music to the characters.
VIII - I hated this game with a fiery passion, sadly, I haven't finished it because my game went missing. Haha. The characters were annoying.
XI - The entire "Princess" thing was annoying.. =| And the metrosexual Kuja was even more annoying to me. Annoying. Just annoying.
X - The way the classes were was so annoying to me, perhaps that's just me, but it really annoyed me. Again, annoying.
X-2 - Just sucked.
XII - was only really good in the beginning, for a short period of time.


Perhaps that's just me.

meh, thought nine was pretty good, but still didn't like seven, Kinda wana subscribe to 11 since my WoW time ran out.

Well, VII has many factors that tend to "buy" fans. The anime-like storyline (especially in the video scenes, which are very few). The silent main character, which makes him look tough and "cool". The also "cool" bad guy, as you know, most VII fans are hopelessly devoted to Sephiroth. We could say many things, and I myself like VII, but I don't think it's THAT great. One example of VII being over-commercial are Tifa's big boobs, I mean, come on, not even a pregnant big woman gets them that size.

My favorite FF is IX, I just loved the story, the comical relief, the character's personality, the fantastic OST, everything.

Unfortunately, VII came with a disease. Those who play it and become fanboys, tend to despise other Final Fantasies just for being different than VII. In other words, they become very closed of mind. My opinion: we should mercilessly and painfully kill them all.

I reckon FFVII was more fun in someways
especially with the mini games that it had such as the snowboarding and the submarine game
i've only played it once and i'm trying to think of that casino place they go to's name but it just wont come to my head lol my friend told me the other day but yeah i reckon it's one of the funnest games i've played

but of course i love all the final fantasy series
because of course they are all unique in some way and have something special about them
such as blitzball, best game ever lol

but i love the card games in VIII & IX
that was a fun side-quest

but yeah to many people VII was basically a breakthrough in technology really going from Nintendo to Playstation, the advancement in graphics being one major difference.
But yeah people just fall in love with the characters and story line

FF VII was pretty good, but I liked a lot of the other FF games over it, and only a few FF games were worse than FF VII.
