Theres many more than just that 0.o My favorites were probably Sephiroth, Cloud, Cecil, Terra, Auron and Vincent Not Tidus

Rikku with to "k" cause riku with one "k" is from kh and it's male(pretty hard to believe one letter changes the genre,but...)

lol. I would have to say Zell and Tifa. Both because they fight hand-to-hand and don't need weapons (because they're just that great
 ) and Tifa because.....well, that's an obvious one.

I edited the poll to correct Rikkus name.
On topic; I voted for Squall and Rikku. Squall because he is the strong silent type, with the bad ass bit to him. Rikku because she's fun ^_^ Hyper, outgoing, and random. Best FF character ever.
