Hiya Choose The Best Battle System!!
For Me It's Final Fantasy X-2 International+Last Mission's One...Simply Amazing...It's Semi-Realistic, And It's Sooo Cool Because You Have Tons Of Ways Of Making Criticals Or Evading Your Opponent's Attack

Final Fantasy's X-2, mainly because of the Chain system...

FF VIII for me

reasons:
the menus (i.e. attack mug magic draw item treatment) is completely up to the player. some menu items are also learnable by the GFs and only a certain GF can learn a particular skill (gives each GF its own little variance) whilst FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII may show interchangability (only of what you have learned) FFVIII have given the most flexibility. (FFT comes close second)

Limit breaks also have some variance, each character have their own ""type" of limit break(which is also available in most FFs xept FFT) but each type of limit break have its own varieties.. i.e. Zell got some good combos... but when you get his final "limit break moves" you can combine combos to get different final moves... selphie's limit break got all the spells in it.. but there are special spells that you can only cast within her limit break.. and lets admit... collecting quisty's limit breaks is kinda fun ne? (FFX came close second for me on this one)

finally, I may have biased opinion since i havent played the FFX-2 international + last mission. I played X-2 tho...how different was it from the original?

12 has to be the best because of the ability to actually move around the battle field so that you can get your party in to different positions so that area attacks dont hit the whole team

FFX-2 I+LM Had Some Changes... I'm Gonna Explain The Battle Ones, But Look For The Other Ones In The Post I Made In FFX/FFX-2 Subforum
Basically, There Is A New System Called Monster Capture...You Have Some...Special Helmets That You Throw In Spira, A Second Later, You See What Monster You Catched(It Can Be From A Flan To a Very Real Character(E.j: Elma, Lucil, Yaibal, Brother, Buddy, Shinra,Goons Etc) That You Can Put In Your Party....In This Game, Your Party Can Be Made Of 3 "Small Size" Characters(Such As Humans Or Lil Monsters), A "Medium Size"(It Fits 2 Places, It Can Be A Dragon, Or A Snake, Etc.) Character And A Small One, And Finnally, It Can Also Be Made With 1 "Large Size" Character(Don't Look At Me With That Face!! It Can Be A Boss For Example!! There Is A New Boss You Can Fight In A Tournament, And If You Win You Get It, It's A New Weapon,I Mean Like The Emerald, Ruby Etc.) And Well, You Have Battle Tournaments, As I Mentioned Before, Where You Can Win 2 Whole New Dresspheres And Also Nice Prizes Oh, And They Erased Lots Of Bugs...It's Impossible To Have A Failure In Battle

i thought ffx was good cause you can get the whole roster of players involved in the same battle and level them up
