The Classic Final Fantasies
Ahhh....the good old days of Final Fantasy. When you didn't need excellent graphics to make the story more interesting. When the battle system was incredibly simplistc. No Limit Breaks...except in 6. I've played FF1, 2, 4, and 6...out of all the classic FFs(1 and 2 were actually the remakes of Dawn of Souls...). Who here has reveled in the joy of the classic Final Fantasies and been absorbed deep into the wonderful storylines of the past?

4 is one of my favs. Cecil was, yes, a pretty common fantasy story character, but he kicked serious ass. Ever give him the Crystal? He totally rocks with it. ^_^

Cecil was a cool character...I rather see him as a Paladin than a Dark Knight...

They had interchangable classes in those? I wonder if FFT was the first to have interchangable classes.....anyone know?

Um. no, not as far as I know.
The only character to ever change class was Cecil, and that was through storyline, not choice. I LOVED FF4. Graphics were sacrificed for story, and it. Was. Worth. It. Now, it's all about graphics, and all too possible to have crap storylines like X-2 and FF8.

FF8 had a great storyline. >.<
Given that FFX-2 was an enormous mistake, but FF8 was a great game; especially if you can really get into the storyline and see things from Squall's viewpoint. Honestly, it was the ending that got me on FF8 though.

*Applauses for Yoherz* Yoherz is right...FF8 ending was pretty good...And the storyline was also good...On FFV you could change classes whenever you wanted with the Job System...

i've played Origins, both ff1 and ff2, and ff4, 5, 6 but never finished them...
 I got bored quickly....
