Rurouni Kenshin

This is about a samurai in his earlier years that used his sword to change the shape of the Japanese goverment and bring on a new age. However over come by the constant death and pain he caused he vows never to never kill again and carries around a reversed blade sword. Yet he continues to be haunted by his past and finds it hard to keep his promise and protect the people he cares about.

What are you opinions about this show and are there parts that you like?


Mine was how it relates to real Japanese history and stay entertaining at the same time.

Agreed. This is a great anime. He is practically a god because he slaughtered so many people in a previous war, so all of these other samurai that survived from the war come after him and try to kill him.
He acts like a total idiot at times, but in battle he is a demon. I love his reverse bladed sword. I tried to wield one of those before and couldn't figure it out.

lol This was one of the only mangas I read that I realy liked the movie that came out with it.

The anime made him childish,
the manga made him sort of overly formal,
but the movie made a real serious story and worth watching..... too bad it had a some what sad ending.
