Children of Men Review

The movie was pretty short and could have been much longer in my opinion. It is the year of 2027 and civilization is near it's end because of a horrible disease which disables the ability to make babies. And it has effected the whole world quickly, spreading in less than a week.
The story is very gripping and keeps you watching. Theres something happening all the time with no boring parts of the movie. It all starts off in London where the British government has sealed all borders and deporting all illegal immigrants, and anybody who does not have a British passport is considered an illegal immigrant. They are deporting all immigrants because they think they are the cause of the disease, Nobody has been born in almost two decades now and people everywhere are scared that this could be the end of humanity until an illegal immigrant somehow has produced a baby.
Theres also alot of action with the army in refugee camps and streets. The movie makes you think, I really thought that this could be another way the world could end, it actually is terrifying in a way. Bombs in the opening credits and all the action going on near the end. Characters are also very interesting and each one got a speacil role, if removed, could change the story. Each one is unique and keeps the movie alive with new characters coming all the time.
I really recommend watching this movie, it really is great and has a bit of everything from action to romance and thriller. It could be abit disturbing as theres scenes showing the birth of a baby 0.o I would rate it PG-13...
It deserved to be movie of the year!
