Though, the only students that are passing are people that learned Spanish as their first language. On top of that, she isn't even teaching the right thing. She's teaching incorrect pronounciations and rushing us through the language. She gives us about 50 words a day and expects us to remember them forever.



I never said she had perfect grammer. I'm just saying that you shouldn't point out her flaws so quickly and in an insulting way as you did.

1. If not all potheads are insane, and some are actually cool. Then what was your point in saying he is a pothead, unless of course you think being a "pothead" is demeaning and therein you would be backstabbing your own friends? If he just pointed a knife at you, I'm assuming YOU are the one who started getting physical, no? That means YOU started the fight, not him, regardless of whether or not he pointed a knife at you or not.[which shouldn't go unpunished, but I doubt he did, now did he?] You are the one that started the fight, not the kid that was rough housing.

2.It was a metaphor, as in; liar. If all you've said was true, you must be in your 6th year of Spanish, correct? Why else would the girl that has already taken it 5 years in a row be in your class? Something else that doesn't make sense to me, why the hell are the first language Spanish speaking students in your Spanish class, or at least in your level of Spanish class. Unless of course you are equivalent to someone whose first language is Spanish and therein you should be passing the class. [according to your own information] Dolt.

In regards to your second point.. some people take classes purely as mark boosters. You're almost guaranteed an A for the course if you start wayyy ahead of everyone else. I have done that myself heh =p

Just a comment about teachers in general.. all teachers have different teaching methods. Some may be good and some may be mad. It all depends a lot on the way students learn. However, if 90% of a class is failing, then I would definitely suspect that something is wrong with the way the teacher is teaching.

Besides learning, skool is required for certain jobs. Unfortunately it is part of life and a way to weed out competition in the working world...

No, as I said before, I in no way provoked him in any physical way whatsoever. He was messing with me and said that he was going to pull his knife out of his backpack and cut me with it. I ignored him and so he pulled it out and started waving it around at me and pretended to cut me with it a few times. Though, for some odd reason, pulling a knife on me wasn't reason enough to put him away and they ended up giving me a heavier sentence because I hit him with a desk out of self-defense. Before I did that, I hadn't even touched him.

1. Do NOT call me a dolt. You have no idea of my intelligence level, so you cannot call me that justly so.
2. No, I am not in my 6th year of Spanish. I took Physical Education my freshman and sophmore years and am now taking Spanish class for the first time. The girl that sits next to me is a freshman and had Spanish classes five years before that class.

Exactly. I'm actually going to do that next year with my Biology 2 class. They're teaching college level material that I already learned in there. I'm almost guarenteed to make an A.

I agree. Some of my teachers are great. My Algebra 2 teacher got teacher of teh year last year and my choir teacher is probably the best teacher I've ever had. In the three years that I've sung in his choir, I've only seen him angry twice. I can honestly say that it's been an honor to sing in a choir with him as the director.

On the other hand, my Spanish teacher won't answer our questions, gives us far too much work, brags non-stop about how she's been teaching for 28 years, and rants 45 of the 55 minutes of class on random and senseless things that pop into her head.

I know.....annoying high school. I don't know why they won't let me go back to college. I aced the class and got four college credits. Why the hell won't they let me go back?! T_T

Except intelligent students wouldn't take a language class where they already knew the language. You could take a more important class and still write on your resume that you know Spanish. Everything your saying is a highly unlikely. Like ALL the Spanish speaking students that are taking Spanish 1 are taking it because they want to get a passing class; why not take Spanish 4 and show your stuff off to colleges. Regardless of whether or not he waved a knife at you or not, you hit him first, which is taking matters into your own hands. You could have easily just told the teacher, he obviously wasn't going to actually do it. Then you would have completely avoided trouble.

Because for Spanish 4, you have to have taken 1, 2, and 3 and they don't count jr. high classes aside from the fact that our school doesn't even offer Spanish 4. Here, it's a college level only class.
Besides, those Spanish speaking people are taking Spanish 1 for the reason stated above and for the same reason that deaf people take the Sign Language class at our school. They already know the material, so they use it as a grade booster like Tidus mentioned. It's almost a guarenteed A+ like what I'm going to do with Biology 2 next year.

If you had read what I had typed, you would have known that he waved his knife at me first. The last thing that happened was that I hit him with the desk. It was completely out of self-defense and it got him the hell off me.
