Athiesm Ect..

Ive seen and talked to many people who call them selves Athiest cause they dont believe in God. Do you think there doing the wrong thing and is being brainwashed by other people?
Personaly i think that there living for nothing in this world and dont give a damn about believing in anything. But then again if you confronted someone like that would you be friends with them?
So discuss here what you feel about Athiesm, If you are one yourself then i hope you dont take my post in a wrong way.

I would make friends with anyone, no matter what religon they got, but if they are racist, for example, an atheist who hates all people who believe in god, then that guy is stupid and I wouldn't make friends with him.
In my opinion, they are wrong, and they shall be punished by god, later on, on judgment day. Many people don't believe in god because they believe in different things, some people believe the theory of evolution, which I also think is very wrong, we were never apes.
Many believe in god by heart but don't want to show it, in some places, Muslims are hated, and people think they are terrorists just because of a few extremists and a few conditions. So if some atheist says he believes in god now and becomes a Muslim, he will be thought of as a terrorists.

I see no wrong in not believing. People are given free will, they can choose to believe or not to believe. Whether it is wrong or not is not for us to decide. I know quite a few Atheists, all are really good people too. I find it more common that people are Atheist when they feel they have been wrong by God, they lose faith.

Thanks Sakaki, Yeh i didnt mean anything bad about them i just ment the real mean ones who hate people and dont care about nature. I also have a few friends who is athiest.

If there were no God... there would be no sense in life... I personally, only believe in what I see... But I also respect others opinions because I don't find them wrong. If there was no God, no mith or something keeping you alive, what would be the purpose of men in this world? no, really, what are we doing here? what are dogs? they eat, sleep and make noise.... is that their purpose in life? I don't think so. I guess people want to believe in God to have something to hold on life. to worship. to dedicate some time to that...

Well... I might be wrong... but this is what I think...

Man has surely evolved,humans used to live longer,and be stronger and bigger than they are today, but the rapidly changing world is always changing and that has effects on humans. But we were always humans and we were never apes, so I disagree with Darwin's Theory of Evolution.
Since im Muslim, I strongly believe that theres a point to life, we were created by god and put in this world by god as a test. He would test us based on our sins and good deeds. If we go on to heaven or hell is all judged by god, but if you kept on committing sins and deeds that god mentioned we shouldn't then you would probably end up in hell, but it's up to God to decide. If you do more good deeds than sins then you would probably wend up in heaven, again it's up to god since theres many exceptions and variables that are involved, it's a very complicated judgment.
I know it's very hard to believe in what you don't see, but thats the point of religon, you gotta have faith.

Its interesting the way you tell me this, 'cus I never saw this perspective of life... I won't say anything about your religion, but I don't think its a test. I guess the meaning of life will remain a unanswered, and be stored in the Unanswered Philosophy Questions.

But the point of Atheism, well i guess everyone can make choices... So I don't think its wrong. And of course different religions will have different thoughts about that...
