Yup. Plus all the strategies you can come up with within the cards, especially the infinite combos.
This is one of the only card games (if not the only one) in the world that a game can litterally go on forever. Oh, and don't even get me started on mana shuffling. For this game, you have to have a strategy JUST to shuffle your deck. If you don't, you'll almost assuredly lose.

They're almost always red, and they always have flying. Most of them have effects that if you tap a mana, you add one more power to it, reinforcing the red weakness of low toughness.

yeah that makes sense..............dragons should be rare if there were too many of them they would dominate the planet and no one would be alive.so in a card game i would make them rare collectors items and a special collectors editions...........for hardcore collectors who would pull them out to win a match.

Well, more or less.
Some of the cards aren't realy that great compared to some of the combos you can pull off today, but there are a few that are still insane. Like Day of the Dragons. The effect is: When Day of the Dragons comes into play, remove all creatures you control from the game. Then put that many 5/5 red Dragon creature tokens with flying into play. When Day of the Dragons leaves play, sacrifice all Dragons you control. Then return the removed cards to play under your control.

So basically if I have 10,000 elf tokens, then play that, they all become 5/5 flying dragons, and even if the card is destroyed, I still get all 10,000 of my creatures back.

wow 0_0 . um...question? what do you use for counters to show how many creatures you have out?

lolz. Well, for most players we just use another deck that we have on hand (for both creatore and +1/+1 counters), but for me I have to carry around a small clackalator (edgamakated for "calculator") just to keep count of my tokens.
I really do have to start carrying another one just to keep count of my life, since oen fo my cards gives me 1 life for every elf in play, and my tokens are elves, so.....yeah.....

I'd say wizards will always try to create new spells for any situation even if thesse spells are bad for them or others...
At the end, it's the death that win !
