Ok, this was getting too split, so I closed the other two threads and made a thread about it in our seldom used debate area, since that's basically what it's become.

Continue whatever arguements you had here. Quote another thread and copy the quoted text, and paste it here to reply to it. If it's not in this thread, that's what that little arrow thing is for. It shows you the origin of that post.

Come on lewl, God forbid someone on the other end of the internet has a different opinion than you do about a video game . Theres no need to get into a virtual fist fight over x-2. Alot of us hate it and very few ive seen here enjoy it. I just hated the game, but for the sake of this thread every post what ruins it for YOU or what makes it flat out AWESOME for you. Ive said it already and i flat out think it just does not live up to what X created. I dont mean any offense by this post, but we are in the debate area now .

The whole idea of a debate is to fairly post opinions and back them up with evidence from the game itself.



Here, I'll even start us off.
Lew, you said before that you saw the same producers in the credits as X-2. but the difference is that those same people were under different management (hence the name change from SS to SE). The art designers themselves didn't come up with the game, the mangament staff did.

Neither do I find it troublesome that gays, lesbians, bi-sexuals, etc like the game - some of my good friends are gays and a lesbian - and I myself like women as well as guys although I haven't actually done anything yet >_>

The trick is how to handle the situation - I could have taken offense at some of the comments posted in the old topics but I chose not to. I know those comments weren't an attack on me and I know that the people posting are good people - I think you know this too lew Yoherz is a decent guy and I think he's handling this situation as maturely as he can - being a good debator - and really what's more important - a game or your relationships here?

Yeah, the two topics were confusing me, so I made one thread instead of merging them. Had I done that, nobody would have understood any of what we said since it would have been completely out of order.

Well, I was thinking about it earlier and I'll see if I can put this in a different way.

Just about the only people that enjoy the song "It's raining men" are homosexual men and straight women. Tis just a simple statement, not stereotyping or anything.

But yeah, I can see what you mean about it being easy to take something as simple as that so personally.
And thanks for the compliment, but I'm actually a horrible debator. I actually even prefer not to debate, but I figured it would be more proper to have it here than in two different threads and arguing about the same thing in both threads.

Very good point. The only one who's top five it even showed up on was Lew's, and it was in last place.


Though, I meant this thread to be more of a debate about the characteristics of the game (battle system, plot, etc. as we were doing in the FFX-3 thread) rather than about harsh opinions of the game.

i dont like the battle system, thats the FIRST among many problems of the game! they had no reason to change it like that, they could have changed it like ff12, bcuz of the battle system i was unable to complete the game, it completely threw me off, and it confused me greatly as to how it was i was to go about using stratige with a time limit

Agreed. The time limit was one of the rushing factors, but at the same time they expect you to sit and gather a strategy in such a short amount of time.
