PlayStation 3 Compatibility issues
I read somewhere that the PlayStation 3 is unable to play older games from PSX and PS2... and that is why they are modifying the Hardware... Also they are Modifying the hardware to drop the prices for europe but the price is still the same...
I posted a news about it on the main site, read a comment.. Hardware Change to Help Drop PS3 Price and Playstation 3 Specifications For Europe Announced Yeah... so to play some other games we will have to download new firmwares... that sucks...

Yeah, that does suck.
It's bad enough that I have to put in my PSX and eject it and put it back in 500,000 times to get it to work on my PS2, but this sucks even more.

Well, hopefully they will make PSX and PS2 games compabitible with the PS3, that way I don't have to sell my PS2. Even so, even if it wasn't, I have 2 PS2s, so even then I could sell one of them...oh yeah!

One of the main reasons I have bought the PS2 was because I could use PSX games... and FF, but with this I don't know...

Bleh, It hasent got many exclusives anymore 0.o The PAL version is also gonna be more expensive and the only decent game availible for PS3 is Resistance: Fall of man

I know what it is. They're getting sloppy because of the new staff. Square Enix has been going way the hell downhill since they got their new staff as Enix. They're cutting back costs, so making it so that you can only play the games on their designated platforms forces us to go and find those older platforms just to play the games.
It's all costcutting and it most likely is saving them a few billion, but they would be making profits of at least 10 times that if they were still making the quality games and platforms. The reason they had to release the PS3 so soon, was because they did so horribly on FFX-2 and other such games that it was a substantial loss. Therefore, they had to release the PS3 early, without the components of PS2 and PSX to cut costs and make up for their mistakes. Though, this is only forcing them to plummet deeper into debt because of the low quality.

Well, I just hope that when Final Fantasy XIII will be released, the PS3 will drop their prices... I don't want to spend $600 for PS3+FF13... and I hope Kingdom Hearts 3 will be released for the PS3 too...

first,what is the difference between psX and ps1?
second,i have both,and i thought i could sell my ps1 cause i thought my ps2 could read ps1 games,but it doesn't and also,i think that ps1 is good to carry to other places  third,i think ps3 should only read ps3 games,every console has its codes , DD that's what i thinkbye
