On my desktop I have my friends page (a custom filter) on LiveJournal as my homepage, since it's usually on of the first pages I check anyway. And on my laptop I have iGoogle as my homepage, which also is one of the first pages I check XD

I got a plugin on firefox that when you open the browser, you will get a set of pages to choose from:
