I NEED HELP BADLY >< (plz help me)

ok so i talking to you all again from my laptop well here's how it go's the computer i built has windows vista on it because well my mate came round with the disk and we installed it but im having no problems runing games just everything else my wireless routor wont work with it >< so i cant link all the my computers to the net or even network them it wont install half the drivers it serposed to and the main and BIG problem is i cant get on the net no matter what because vista wont install my modem wont install so no internet to i thinking of going back to windows xp for now

so eveyone what do you think i should do? stay with vista or go back to xp pro for now

I would go back to XP. Vista is just too new for everything to work with it. They still need to add a whole lot of stuff. If you remember XP was the same way. Any new OS is going to be full of bugs, in a few years vista should be awsome.

I would think either the DVD/CD your friend gave you of Vista is corrupt and it was such a successful installation, or you need to get updates from Microsoft.
Either way, try to run windows update, or to re-install vista. If nothing works, go back to XP. Though I never had problems with Vista while I used it, my modem isn't wireless so I don't really know. Let me know how it work out for you.

well i upgraded my to vista ultimate and installed and connected my modem fine had no problems but then it downloaded all the updates and it messed up again my modem now connects and is connected to the internet but when i try to view pages it wont load them up it just say page cannot be displayed

vista isn't the problem. i have to pcs - one running vista and the other xp and they are both connected together and sharing internet at the same time. you should check if the router is working correctly.

check your modem provider on the web for drivers

well i can tell you my netgear is fine and the drivers lol i can also tell you in most cases you cant download the drivers for sata divers to install xp so yeah i cant put xp on it

but i can tell you how i got the net on my vista

i just booted and nuked my whole hdd so nothing was left at all then i reinsalled my vista ands the drives and it all worked fine im even able to play WoW again

yep thank for the help now i can get back to talking on ch sorry i've been gone so long (got hooked of WoW (world of warcraft) note: sadly im still hooked XD
