Say Good-Bye to PS3's 20 gig and Say Hello to 80 gig.

I read in game informer that sony is now stopping all preductions in the 20 gig modle.The reason is because it can not hold that much.The board members took a vote and it was the same all over.But before they got together and voted they looked online after getting a tip that Sony holders had stopped selling the 20 gig modle, not to mention took it off the downloading list.They may have a recall, and this may bring up major issues but thats what they've decided.This will take a while to clarify but never the less people are already getting mad.The reason for that is the recall.Those who spent money on the cheaper modle will not be getting a refund but a 200 dollar gift card.The newer 80 modle will cost at least 700$ acorrding to the staff at Game Informer.Now i am glad that i didn't buy it.

This is stupid on sonys part. Not only did the PS3 cost too much to begin with, not they are forcing you to buy the more expensive one? I love sony and all, but its funny to watch them dig deeper everyday...

yeah it is.But the really funny part is that since that annocement came out the sales of Nintindeo's Wii and Xbox/Xbox 360 has shot through the roof.So the other platforms are profiting from Sonys problematic sale stratigies.So in this case, they either lower their cost of the platform or they give up.

I agree with you. Sony is only helping their competition. I have strong feeling towards them going down in a spiraling flame soon, within years. (for their consoles anyway)

thats were ur both kinda wrong yeah it may cost u $700 dollers but the 360 will cost you alot to own because most of the time they go wrong in ur money it cost me about $300 for the xbox 360 but then its broke 3 times since then and with it costing over $80 a time to fix and i dont know when it will break again i belive that the ps3 i got is better than the 360 that i have

and heres where you are wrong. the PS3 was not God given. It is no where near perfect in any sense. Ive seen alot of them in wal-mart froze up or blue screened. The PS3 costs so much more and has just as many problems as the 360. Ive had my 360 for about a year now with no troubles so heh go figure.

thats because you guys in the usa got the ps3 earlier than us and urs still had all the bugs in them the ps3 was fixed before coming out here and thats why ours work alot better than urs

Hmm you raise a good point. Lets say both the 360 and the PS3 were perfect had no bugs whatsoever and never even could. The PS3 still costs way too much. Its a really sad day when a console is almost starting to round 1k. Dont get me wrong thought i REALLY wish i had one. Maybe someday in a price drop 10 to 15 years from now i can get one .

well there is a reason for the price its because of they blueray disc tray and they need that because the discs are like 4x bigger than dvd discs

I dont see why they cant use regular DVD disks like they use to. I mean you see games on both 360 and PS3 so they must fit on something smaller than a blu-ray. It would greatly help their sales atleast i imagine it would.
