What's your favorite sweet? Or comfort food?

Yeah, what's your favorite thing to eat when you're feelin' down? Or what you just like to eat to get through a day?

Mine is anything with chocolate in it or any carbonated drink. Yes, I'm a sugar freak. But to be specific, I like chewy, melty, chocolate chip cookies.

I try not to rely on comfort food. They say it has some kind of psychological something something and will make you eat chronically when you get depressed, which is extreme weight gain and such.

Though, I guess really any food I eat is comfort food, if you really think about it.

Mwell, I personally think that only certain kinds of people actually start to eat chronically when they're depressed, mostly because different people have different behavior patterns when they get depressed...but that's just my opinion.

Hard enough just getting one meal a day, much less extra food.

Well, it's not so much that, as the hormones and type of food. For example, when a woman is pregnant, she craves ice cream and pickles, because her hormones are going f***ing insane.
Also, there's a specific chemical that reacts with your body to release endorphins (that are only released during sex, a pleasurable activity, or when you get hurt, in order to deal with the pain in accordance to the body's natural reactions) from the "pleasure" zone of the brain, so it's easy for people to get addicted to it.

Aside form those two things, it'd probably just depends on their taste buds as to what foods they'd like. At least, scientifically.

And yeah, I don't eat a lot of comfort food (or food, for that matter, since I only eat once or sometimes twice a day), but I know why other people do it. lol.
