Okay, this issue has been driving me nuts for years and it has seen no resolution as of yet. Wait...maybe it'd be better if I started from the beginning.

I've known this wonderful friend for almost 4 years, and it's been a pretty good life since we met...though we've seen less and less of each other with every passing year. But what my feelings didn't change for all this time, and they still remain constant. I've honestly been afraid to admit this to anyone, even myself at times, but I've finally decided it's high time that I face this issue head on...I...




I'm madly in love with her!

I really can't think around it in any other way. My only problem now is...how am I going to deal with it, how am I going to confront the issue of confronting her head on? You basically get what I'm asking, right?


Now that I got that out of my way, I'm going to lie down and die or something...just watch Mog.

Alright, man. I don't have much advice, and you probably shouldn't listen to me anyways since you know I don't know crap about relationships anyways, but I say just tell her. If she says, yes, hook up with her. If she says no, go get another girl.
Worst case scenario is that she says no, and even then once she gets to know you better, you can ask again.

I agree you should just tell her. I mean is there really much else you can do about something like that other than just come out and admit your feelings? I was friends with my girlfriend for like a year before we started dating and now we have been dating for over 4 years and as soon as i finish college (a year or so more) ill be getting married to her. So i dont see how it could hurt to atleast try and let her know.

ok well here is my part to this what yoh and black mage said is very true but what yoh didnt think about is that maybe if you ask her head on she might get scared and in the very worse case never talk to you again

what you should do is give her hints or break her into the idea slowly like buy her flowers and tell her somthing like i got you these because your a great friend and you mean alot to me get her used to the idea of how much you care then take her out someplace and break the question to her there

Yeah, that's better, but right now he's at the brink of insanity from love (he was past insane before this anyways), so it would be a lot harder for him to do it gradually without jumping on her too much.

Yoherz has pretty much pinned my situation on the nose, but sasuke has the right idea.


EDIT: Original message was cut short. My only problem now is a lack of money, and I have no real way of getting my hands on it. I'm just not that flexible.

Yeah, but knowing your patience levels, you'll be freaking out and killing everyone within a 50 mile radius waiting for school the next day so you can see her again.

I don't really think so, but I'm gonna have to find a slightly more effective way of getting to her, if I can even get to her at all.

Ok, you can go with what sasuke said and try small things, gradually getting bigger, like a hug, then maybe a small gift, then flowers, and so forth. That would be a good way, but her friends might try something (just knowing the people there). It's good as a careful way, if she's a dainty kind of girl.

Or if she's more aggressive (like that she plays a sport), then try a big show to really get her attention. In my experience, a girl that's aggressive (and I've had a lot of aggressive girlfriends) wants a man that's just the same, partly so that she can indentify with him, and also so that she can take a break from her "always in command" personality and have someone that's sensitive, but is bold enough that he's not afraid to show his feelings for her.

Or maybe try them both. Go slowly at first to let her know you're interested, then do something big to show your affection for her (song, drawing, poem, etc.) in front of her and her friends (if you can work up the nerve, if not, just her) to show that you're serious about it. It'll be a LOT harder for her to turn you down with her friends and other people watching.


It really depends on what kind of girls she is, or if she's a mixture, then use what you think would work best.

So now my brain hurts and cartoons are on, so no more thinking for now.
