As For Wild ARMs...

As you know, I've been playing Wild ARMs 3 recently, a game I almost never bought because of the exact reason I bought it in th end: It's a western RPG. The battle system is a lot like Dragon Quest, but has many different aspects (many of which I like), and it's officially my 4th favorite game of all time. As I contemplated this, I wondered about WA4 and WA5...after looking at a couple of videos, I can safely say that I'm NOT going to get 4 or 5, though I might get 5 for one reason, and I'll explain it later.

Reasons I won't get 4 or 5:

1) The HEX battle system...that was the wrong way for the series to go in my opinion.
2) The voice acting is ATROCIOUS! Except for Dean's from WA5 (give you a couple of guesses who his VA is, and that'll tell you why he sounds so damn good).
3) XSEED now mans the production and publishing of the WA series (FYI, they helped make Shadow Hearts 3). This is only a minor reason and it may be overlooked.


I might get 5, but only by sheer speculation of the game itself, and Dean has something to do with it, too.

I'll be more than happy to get my hands on the first two, though. I might put a smaller version of this rant on my YouTube account sometime.

I only played Wild Arms and Wild Arms 2, I really liked them. So, it seems you reccommend WA3. Being a western RPG is neither good or bad for me, I just enjoyed them 'cause they had a nice story.

Wild ARMs 3 is awesome, though it's the only WA game I have at the moment, but I hope to get Alter Code: F in the future...or Rogue Galaxy. Just not 4 or possibly 5 (5 is still in debate). Wild ARMs 2 never got a remake as far as I know, so I'd have to look REALLY hard for that game.

No, but the next chance I can to get a new game, I'll either get WA: AC: F, or Rogue Galaxy.

Sadly, a lot of games didn't have a remake, and yeah, WA2 is one of them.

I found it quite easily...in a mall...the weekend after Christmas, but in turn, Persona 3 was damn near impossible to find. Not like it matters to me now, since I have both games in my possession.

I like WA3's aspect of applying science to certain puzzles and even boss fights, like Trask.

So Trask is mischieving again? =O You fight Trask a couple times in WA2 =P

Persona 3 was recently released over here It was in japanese only, and I had to wait until past november to buy it in english

I figured out that Trask is quite a popular boss in the WA series (or Trasque, different spelling, but same pronounciation). I think there's also an optional boss in WA3, which is a more powerful version of Trask...and red...I think. Though I'm quite happy spending my time between hunting down Ariochs and finding the next dungeon, since Gunner's Heaven's next challenge is too much for me.

I don't know when P3 was released here in the U.S., but I know for at least 5 months or so...I think. It's a great game, though.

A larger verison of Trask.. hmm.. it has a weird and somewhat long name?
And by the way, aren't there a few lizard-weirdos as characters in WA3?
