Yup. They suck horribly. The only way to recover it, would be to repeat the original shows with the new ones.
Though, luckily, Cn just showed the old ones, which is how I saw that one again.

Yeah. They actually showed one of the old ones yesterday which happened to be the one where they first introduced Pokemon fossils. I didn't get it until now, but apparently Team Rocket had the plan to blow up the entire canyon so that only the fossils would remain, despite that there were other people digging there (including Gary that found fossilized poop ).
Now compare this to the modern one where the biggest problem I've seen so far was that Dawn had messy hair when she woke up, and that Ash couldn't win a gym battle which ended up being solved by his Pokemon doing a twirl in midair. Which also allowed two level....lets say 6, Pokemon to take down a level 60 Aerodactyl just by spinning in midair.

Which reminds me of another thing:

Why the hell does Brock ALWAYS pop up and end up traveling with Ash and another girl? Does this 20 something (probably 30 something by now) year old gym leader REALLY have nothing better to do than travel around with a 10 and 14 year old pair of kids? He flirts with enough women that it seems like he would have at the very least 22 families that he could settle down with, aside from his 10 brothers and sisters.

There was that episode where they made him bishonen (in a very bad way) where he looked almost like an elementary school girl with a bright yellow, shiny background, and sparklies around his face......I went temporarily blind when they did that.....I really did. TT_TT

Which reminds me that someone said that they like diamond and pearl more than any of the others. So, I decided to summarize the entire season from only seeing 4 or 5 episodes.

Start. Dawn complaining about hair/other female problem. Explosion. Ash freaking out about the explosion. New Pokemon revealed. Dawn runs around trying to catch it after taking 15 minutes to pull out her pokedex. Explosion. New town. Pokemon contest. Explosion. Final battle. Giant explosion. End.
