Ah. Explaining the complexities of temperal distortions of the space time continuum.
Simply put, if you were to go back in time and kill your ancestor, you wouldn't exist in the future. Though, the self that's in the past would still exist because you are alive in the then and there, whom is unaffected by things that happen in the future, rather than something that has just happen.
Basically, you cease to exist in the future. But, you aren't in the future, are you?

Most scientists have a religion. Regardless, people from the 900s would say that we're playing God with our technology. Like,

900s guy: "You're keeping this man alive with machines?! God wanted him to die, so let him die!"
(life support unplugged)
Doctor: "but....."
(flatline)

So you are basing this on a kids game?'

You still exist if you'd kill your ancestors, you just live in a different parallel universe or a different fate. You don't die when you travel back in time after you murdered your ancestors.

Edit:
I've been speculating with fate, time, free will, science and religion, in a philosophic(al) way.

What if, Time, collaborate with Fate, because without time, there wouldn't be any evolving and developing. Because, Time depends on fate, to set its destination of progress.
And without fate, time wouldn't be able to carry out its destination given by destiny.
And there is parallel universes, connected with time traveling, If you'd be able to go back in time to help famous history such as Leonardo da Vinci, to achieve history you now can see in museum now days.
Because parallel universe means, when you go back in time, you will find yourself in another chapter, but in the same environment etc, but you are able to change it.

But if destiny actually dominates over free will, how can destiny allow time traveling to endanger the system of existence?

What if *GOD* which everyone to believe, in some kind of a dude, from the future that used time machine to get that kind of tittle?

Jesus... Might be.... From the future...

I actually see nothing wrong with that. Some people do explain very complex things by elaborating them into entertainment. Like, movies, games, and other such things. If nothing else, it would at least give the younger generation something to remember and it would be a lot easier. Rather than, "oh what was the discontinuation of the pre-existance law defied by?", they do this and the kids are like "oh, Serge was from a parallel dimension so therefore he still exists even though he died in another dimension.

Which, is what I explained in an above post. You would still exist in that time and place even if you don't in the future.

I'm gonna use a Pirates of the Carribean reference here. Fate, is like the pirate laws. They're more like guidelines, anyway luv'.
Yes, if you went back in time you would change history. What you're saying is interdimensional travel, which would have almost no corrolation to time travel in a single dimension.

It can't. Free will is what changes fate and destiny. Like I said, they're more like guidelines, luv'.

It's possible. Doubtful, but possible.
