yeah. see the problem was the dark magician : dark magician girl ratio. if you had too little dark magician girls, sages stone would almost never work. if you had too little dark magicians, sages stone would have nothing to bring out. so you end up with 3 dark magicians and 2 dark magician girls, and you have too many tributes. I never got to test it good enough...not only did I not want to bring my favorite cards to the grungy place I went to, but I had a competitive deck I used instead.

how is the game doing lately? I checked the ban list and it looks worse then ever. is everyone still trying to pull off OTKs?

Yeah, once they started with theme ducks, it just went downhill. None of the older decks could even touch the newer ones because they made them so hideously broken.
Even my deck, that had a 90%+ win ratio couldn't even scratch a Six Samurai deck.

That's usually a problem with most Dragon decks.

Depends which one you're using. If you're using a level up dragon deck, it works pretty well. Only thing you gotta watch out for is Tribute to the Doomed and such.

I never changed around my deck. My deck was MY DECK, not a tournament deck. I payed good money for those cards, and I'm gonna damn well use them.

I quit after Six Samurais, since they were just horrible. I can only assume the players have gotten worse and worse since then, since it was pretty bad even when I played.

lolz. Yeah, Celtic Guardian was one of the cool ones. Especially back in the good ol' days.
But I remember back when the game first started, how a 3000 ATK Blue Eyes White Dragon was unstoppable unless you had a Dark Hole or a lot of buff cards for a Dark Magician.

And speaking of warriors, one of my friends plays a warrior blitz deck, and it can kick my deck's a** pretty well.

I just didnt bring my magicians to the tournaments because most of the people were creeps, I didnt want them to get damaged or for some punk to grab one and rip it. funny though, I could bring my 70$ cyber dragon just fine =? .

I liked that deck though, it was a beast beat down deck and I played it during the chaos format (the next format I played warriors though). I always survived black luster soldier, summoned berserk gorillas, beat them, and then it was like "your chaos deck just got owned by a monkey!" .

Ah, yeah. They have those in MtG, but only specific cards, and you have to start the game with them in your hand. And even then, it's a win on turn 0 instead.

Cyber Dragon is worth $70? Damn, I just gave away a holo one and like 3 non-holo ones. lolz
But yeah, a lot of those players are just idiots. MtG, the worst you have is arrogant players, and even then they'll get their a** beat down in a game if they ever meet an experienced player. Otherwise, the people are actually pretty intelligent.

Yeah, I saw that. Nearly everyone I knew, played a beat-down deck. That's why I made my deck, so it was impossible to pull off a blitzkrieg. lol.
Usually just a lot of man-eater bugs, waboku, spirit reaper, and some 2000+ defense monsters.
