lol. I guess there just aren't that many players. Or that they haven't found the thread yet.

Oh and I was talking to a veteran player yesterday, and she used an all dragon deck. Though, at the time in Virginia, her tournaments allowed them to use banned cards. They even got up in front of everyone and tore up a list of banned cards and said "have fun!"
So, when I showed her the current banned list, she freaked out and almost went homicidal. She agrees that they banned all the good cards.

Eh. Fiber Jar was a good card to ban. Monster Reborn and Change of Heart were only banned because they made cards almost like it that had some kind of price to it, so in order to make people use these "weaker" cards, they banned those two cards...or so I think that's what they did. The others were, yes, flat-out broken. The Six Samurai set SHOULD be next...but we'll have to see about that.

But Fiber Jar was a save your a** when s*** hit the fan card.
Monster Reborn, I can understand because they can bring back their best monster like three times or something.
Change of Heart, somewhat because the card they made for it is pretty rare whereas CoH was pretty damn common back then.

Some of the other cards just don't deserve to be banned and some of the bans don't make sense.
Like, Breaker the Magical Warrior. Put a spell counter on this card when it's summoned (max 1) and remove 1 spell counter from it to destroy a spell or trap on the opponent's side of the field. Oooo scaryyyy. Not. That doesn't deserve to be banned.
And I still don't get why they banned Dark Hole, but didn't ban Heavy Storm. Hell, I could heavy storm my opponent and blitz the hell outta em with monsters and they can't stop me. The only way I could consider it being banned was because they could use Dark Hole and then Call of the Haunted to attack, but the exact same thing could be done with a card like Lightning Vortex and I would only have to discard a card, which could end up helping me if it was something like Night Assailent.

Hell, even most of the Six Samurai have card effects like the ones they specifically banned. Like one of them is that when the monster is summoned, you can destroy a number of spell or traps on the opponent's side of the field for each six samurai in play other than this (insert card name here).
How is that any weaker than Breaker the Magical Warrior?

Fiber Jar practically restarts the duel, but with an unfair advantage to the opponent. They're trying to regulate the rules to be as fair as possible, unless the deck is crap or is an Elemental Hero deck. XD

Fiber Jar makes sense, there's no other card in existence like it, but there's Des Feral Imp, Grave Protector, Recycle, etc. So Fiber Jar seems broken compared to the other cards. See where I'm getting at here?

Stratos probably should be banned as well, then...

How is it unfair? It only give the opponent a disadvantage if they've summoned AND attacked on that turn, and even then the I doubt that the player with Fiber Jar will summon a monster and attack with it.

Like you said yourself, it basically resets the game, so it's making it fair for both sides. The only exception is the above mentioned or if the player that controls it, flips it on their turn because the opponent won't attack.
It's a downside either way, but it hardly creates a disadvantage, unlike cards like Six Samurai or Darkworld.

Well again, I did put up a list of a few cards that are slightly watered down versions of Fiber Jar. It's basically the same supposed reason why MR and CoH are banned. And it is a little too powerful. Not many cards are that powerful, so they seal it away in a dark "banned" vault, never to be seen again...

So you're saying that ALL of these cards are 'too powerful' to be used in a game? I can somewhat understand Fiber Jar, but some of these are very fair. Like Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End, yes it has a very powerful effect, but at a high cost.

No. I'm saying that some of them are too powerful compared to the cards they've made as of now. Others, now remembering some of them, have way too powerful of an effect and some of them have a really high cost for them to work. Then there's Victory Dragon. Need I say more?
