Victory Dragon has to be out and has to attack directly and that damage has to win the duel. The only card that can really do that for it is Shooting Star Bow - Ceal, and even then you still have to pull off that exact combo at just the right time.
So, I'd say it's pretty hard to do. If a player can do all of that and manage pull off that combo, then they deserve to win the match. At least, in my opinion.

Yes, but then you could say the same thing for monsters. Oh, let's not use a monster with 2,400 attack, instead, lets make all players use a monster with only 1,200 attack in it's place.
I swear that's their next step. Banning all monsters over a certain attack point amount.

I doubt they'll do that. Since most 2400 attackers are above Lv 5. So it'd be pointless to ban those cards. But Victory Dragon allows you to even win the match. Read its exact effect and it'll tell you that you instantly win the duel AND the match.

I said match. Read my post again. Also, it's not that it instantly wins the duel and match. It's that Victory Dragon has to attack the opponent directly AND reduce their lifepoints to 0 with that attack. Then the person wins the match.

And it was sarcasm. I didn't really mean that they were going to ban any monster with 2,400 ATK or more.

Same here. Though, with the new management there (the ones that decided Yu-Gi-Oh GX was a good idea) seem to only be banning old cards. I actually have yet to see them ban any of the newer cards. Like ones that came from GX.
If any of them, I would say (other than Six Samurai) Elemental Hero Flame Wingman. If you're attacking an opponent's monster that's in attack mode, it's basically a direct attack that also destroys an opponent's monster.
I know if they made a card that blatantly said that (even if it only had 100 ATK or so) they would ban it right away, especially if it was an older card.

I guess so, but wait a year and all those cards that ar broken (i.e. Six Samurai and some Elemental Heroes) will be banned.

Hopefully. Though, I'm hoping Six Samurai will be the first time they ban a whole set of cards.
It'll probably be the first card game to do that, too.

To be honest, I would.
They seem to be making all these really powerful cards unjustly, but banning cards that aren't near as cheap as the newer cards.

I agree with you on that. The cards that they've banned had justification to them (well...most them at least. others, it was a matter of the "watered down card" theory). But now we have broken-ass cards that should be banned, but they're seen everywhere in tournaments!
