That's actualy happened to me before.
I went to this fireworks shop and for every 5 items you bought, you get a ticket for a drawing for a giant a** pack of fireworks. So, naturally I had like 10 tickets and we went to the drawing at four in the morning (was f***ing freezing!) and everyone else had about the same number of tickets as I did (the least I remember was 6 tickets) except for this one really old guy that only had one ticket. They spun the ticket things in the raffle......and pulled one out. It was the old man's ticket. He walked off with more fireworks than all of us bought combined.Moral of the story: Even the most unlikely people can win, with a little luck.
