As for dating Social Links, in P4, you now have the option to remain just friends with a person if you don't want to date them, or bother with the tedious task of constantly fixing reversed Social Links (though you'll still want to date someone, since it does have its benifits). There's also been a rumor that you can date any of the guy party members in that game, but I don't know if it's necessarily true or not.
